CONTENT
In a lonely hour and time
My heart ached for a needed friend;
So I sat and watched a leaf bend
And sway in the breeze.
It seemed content, and had
No other desire than to be
A tiny part of a small branch
Of a very large tree.
Little leaf, my friend,
Let me also have no other desire
But to be content, like you,
To be a small part of a larger whole
Allowing the breeze
Of God's purifying love
To bend me into whatever
To Him seems best.

PLEASANT PASTURES
Pleasant Pastures, comfort sweet
Joy or' flowing the mercy seat.
Meadow soft with flowing stream
Tender love, as in a dream.
The desire to stay is strong;
Here is where I belong.
But now I hear the Master say
"Another place I wish thee to stay."
Broken heart, blackened day;
Rocks of disappointment in the way.
Desires crumbled in the dust.
Here I learn the life of trust.

LIKE A SNAKE
The words we speak release spirits with them. Life and death are in the
power of the tongue. Speaking negative all the time towards someone will
result in that person acting negatively. Positive words ignite positive actions.
Without realizing it but we also give our words wings. One person's words
can either build up or bring down a whole room.
The other day I received an email from a friend. I was reminded that we
connot serve both God and Mammon. That is so true. It isn't how much money
we have, but where our hearts are aimed.
Releasing our own control and letting God take over. We tend to be backseat
drivers. We want God to drive us where He wants to take us, but we want to
tell Him how to get us there.
Take off the blinders that keep us seeing what we think is the problem and
look at the real reason. Stop the demon in its tracks. We are known for
the fruits we bare. Let the fruits be positive.
We should be as wise as a serpent:
1. Snakes have no limbs. So they do what the head says. (God is the
head of the church. We need to leave our hands to ourselves and try not to step
on or over others as we get where we're going).
2. Snakes do not have ears. They cannot hear what's being said so they're
not affected by discouraging words.
3. Snakes have no eyelids. They don't sleep and are always aware of
what's around them. They see their target and go for it. Letting nothing get in
the way. (We want God. We should head for Him in a safe way.)
4. Snakes are voiceless. They do not backbite or gossip. (Keep our
tongues quiet).
5. Snakes grow all the time. Leaving their old skins and taking on new
skins. (Killing the old man and taking on the characteristics of Christ.)
6. Snakes inhabit every nation. (Go throughout the world.)
7. Snakes only have one lung. They cannot breath in two sources at the
same time. (Take in what God wants for us and not the world. God or
Mammon? God or money?)
It is good to have money to live, but to live to get money can kill a person
or a marriage.
Give up control to God and let Him lead you through.

If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100
people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would
look something like the following:
There would be:
57 Asians
21 Europeans
14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south
8 Africans
52 would be female
48 would be male
70 would be non-white
30 would be white
70 would be non-Christian
30 would be Christian
89 would be heterosexual
11 would be homosexual
6 people would possess 59% of the entire world's wealth and all 6 would
be from the United States.
80 would live in substandard housing
70 would be unable to read
50 would suffer from malnutrition
1 would be near death; 1 would be near birth
1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education
1 would own a computer
When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the
need for acceptance, understanding and education becomes glaringly
apparent.
The following is also something to ponder...
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness... you are
more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of
imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation ... you
are ahead of 500 million people in the world.
If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest,
torture, or death...you are more blessed than three billion people in
the world.
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof
overhead and a place to sleep...you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a
dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If your parents are still alive and still married ... you are very
rare, even in the United States and Canada.
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in
that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed
than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.
Someone once said: What goes around comes around.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth.

CAREGIVERS HELPING HURTING PEOPLE
The following are this month's inspiring examples of
Caregivers Helping Hurting People. These Caregivers
will be giving Salvation Prayer and Poem Bookmarks

I will distribute these bookmarks to people at the local homeless shelter and
with the Battered Women's shelter in my town, to let them know that through all
they have been through someone loves them very much. My wish is to give
them hope and strength to go on.

My friend and I distribute 30-50 basic food baskets about every two months to
people who live in low income housing. Along with what we can give at the
time, we seek donations from friends and family to do the mission God has
called us to do. In each food basket (actually bag), we put some type of track in
it. We also offer Bibles to anyone who needs or wants one.
Your bookmarks would help us to continue to spend the good news of Jesus
